Personally, I never thought the justification they used was valid. Yet, I thought and still think it was the right thing to do. I had been protesting the sanctions for several years because they targeted innocents. Innocent, non-regime, Iraqis were being targeted as pons in the conflict. Some put the blame for that on Saddam and some put it on America but the fact remains innocents were suffering and dieing. Even Albright recognized it in her famous comment when asked if the death of half a million innocent children was worth it she responded coldly, "The price is worth it."

I disagree but even if you do the fact is the Sanctions were not working and were gradually being whittled and would have eventually been abandoned. The resulting regime would have been a much greater force to deal with.

Saddam was the enemy without question. It was sinful to target innocent children in an attempt to coerce him into cooperation or to encourage others to over throw him. I see no difference in that and other forms of terrorism.

So, when it was determined to go to war directly with his regime, I felt it was about time.

Which one did the Bush Administration think authorized them to invade Iraq, the PL 105-338 or Resolution 1441.

Assuming the administration thought they needed any resolution, why does it have to be just one?
