To me, abortion is an undesirable but tolerable approach in the early days of a pregnancy. But the window during which it is an option should be kept short. This may be less than ideal, but it is a reasonable compromise for a difficult issue. If anyone lacks empathy, it is those who will terminate the life of an unborn child in the last weeks before birth. It is a procedure that is at least as barbaric as the worst war atrocities.
