The drop in the dollar is troubling. The only explanation that I have is the devaluation of the peso last night. Any better explanations out there?

I decided to check the tube to see what the talking heads are up to. Nothing new except that they are even stupider than I recall. They had some toad explaining that the high PE's were justified because the inflation rate was the same as the mid 60's and PE's were that high then. The stock markets fell 75% over the next 13 years in constant dollar terms - boy that that sure is one ##%# of a good argument for high PE's
