We had a discussion about this on the "dedicated" thread: Message 25695223 Big private players in the health insurance business will be happy to sell out - and/or merge their companies into the fold - when they'll realize that otherwise they're cooked. Socialized health care has a funny aspect - as soon as it gets adopted, everyone in the industry will begin to depend on it for their next paycheck. Many of those who oppose it will become instant supporters.
