I didn't want two dogs which is why I gave the female to the neighbor. The down side though was that Bruno would bolt outside the door every chance he got to go visit her, but eventually he figured out she was gone and doesn't run out of the house anymore.

I don't have much experience with terriers, but they seem to bark a bit much.
