I eat mine, if you put them in the ground they go bad

I think it was late April. Covered them up at night, and I have jugs of water for passive thermal heating. I have blossoms, and a few, half sized, green cherry tomatoes already.
If I get by 7/4, it's a good year. Some years, not til Aug, but we were always the first local growers at our Farmers Market.
