Lots of unhappy people today with Datek. I think they had a meltdown. Surprising, since they performed so well yesterday. This confirms my oopinion that they are unsuitable for daytrading, and I am redoubling my efforts to find a new broker. ABWateley and ATFI top my list at this point.

I finally got through on orders6. I had been trying to enter several orders, but the ONE order that managed to slip through was the one I cared about the least. And I ended up buying it at a 1/2 above where I started trying.

Anybody want to buy some slightly used BORL at only a slight premium over my price? I probably helped Leo Oorts cover his shorts.

And aggravating all of this is the fact that DLJDirect (my 2nd choice when I was broker-hunting) is responding just fine.

To all:

It's not just Datek that is freezing out their customers. I have accounts with two other brokerage firms and have been unable to log on to either all morning. When I call customer service I get busy signals. Is their a conspiracy here?
