They should upgrade, but they should have upgraded in advance and didn't. As long as their competitors are doing just as miserable a job, they have no incentive. The customers are the ones losing most of the money, not the brokers.. I guess fo trades at minimal commission fees one shouldn't expect great service, but some like Schwab that charge $29.95 for online trades were down too. I'm strongly considering a full line broker like H&Q if I can be sure of getting them when I need them. Do members of the thread have any experiences to report about regular brokers?
