Sun salutation is good to stretch your entire body. Lack of streching leads to pain. With yoga you can alleviate your back pain.

Ice and deep tissue massage help all muscles recover.

Biking and back pain go together
like running and back pain. I have run for the last 30 years
4 to 5 miles a day.
Hurt my knee on ice this winter( i was not running) so i am now running 2 miles a day on a plastic turf football field, it is like running heaven. Plus i get to race high school kids it is fabulous. It makes us all run harder. Distance and sprints.
I use ice everyday. 20 minutes of ice for anything and eveerything that hurts. Including feet and hands.
I use the thera cane during my weight workouts
in between sets usually in my elbows and shoulders with
amazingly good results, ie i lift some pretty pretty heavy weights for an old guy.
Yesterday benching 3 sets 10 reps @ 135 to warm up
1 set 10 reps 185
1 set 10 reps 205
1 set 6 reps 225
failed on #7
1 set 2 reps 245
1 set 1 rep 265
failed on #2.
