You're evading the question....are you saying GM was making the cars the public wanted but they wouldn't buy them???? If so, why wouldn't they buy them?? Is this difficult to understand?

Why did GM fall behind Toyota??? Answer..because Toyota was selling more cars....why? Because they are more reliable and met the objectives of the buying public.....do you think $4 gasoline had any effect???? GM was trying to sell SUV's because their profit margin was about 11K....and they were arrogant enough to think the public would buy the guzzlers indefinitely... This isn't rocket science.

The Prius has been profitable since 2004....My wife has one and we both love it. I have a BMW and would rather leave it in the garage and drive the Prius. GM's Volt will sell, if it makes the market place, for about 40K and if past is prelude, they will eff it up!! The new 2010 Prius has thousands of orders already....
