You know, the two most successful government programs according to yellow-dog Democrats like yourself.

They're kind of like Gibbs on this issue. They're never able to quite come up with a response to it.

Obama's $1.8 trillion deficit is almost twice the amount of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined. An "inconvenient truth" for you.

It's mostly Bush's deficit... so no the truth is not at all inconvenient. You ought to try the truth.

Let's not forget that SS and Medicare make up half of the federal budget. You know, the two most successful government programs according to yellow-dog Democrats like yourself.

And both have dedicated taxes. In fact they are LOWERING the deficit. Are you saying you want to eliminate SS and Medicare, or are you just blowing smoke?

Of course, the only people you want to "punish" are those who make more money than you do, e.g. the richest 1% of Americans.

Listen you want the will to cut spending? Raise taxes. No more deficit crap... we pay for what we spend, today, not tomorrow. Of course you have to go to the higher incomes... that's where the money is. You ARE NOT going to get lower spending as long as you have deficit spending. The ONLY WAY to get the will to cut spending is to raise taxes.

There's no logic in anything you support. It's all about how you feel, and it has been for as long as I remember you posting.

Cop out.

BTW I kind of like being called a yellow dog democrat but I don't even come close to fitting the definition. I'm not even from the south. Why don't you call me a Chicago Democrat? Probably a better insult from your perspective.
