Most people get far fewer colds as they age, and get more again with children going to daycare/germ centers.

One thing I'd be curious about is a link between allergies and diet. Or maybe it's air pollution and crap in the water. Whatever the reason, most of the past few years, I've been much more allergic in March/April and again in October than I used to, so bad at times that it seems like I have a cold for a day or two. Sometimes the allergies give me ringing in one ear.

Or how about he explosion of asthma? If I remember correctly, a recent study showed a connection with some air pollutant, but I forget exactly what and how (a binding in the atmosphere...?).

I suspect that a very healthy diet can also lead to a dramatic drop in the use of psychotropic drugs, too.
