Governor Sanford never attempted to justify his behavior. He openly admitted the sinfulness of acts. His reference to biblical judgments helps him cope with his sin, helps him understand that the mercy of God is available for authentic repentance, and helps restore hope and faith after such a severe breech of trust with his family and citizens. I wonder why god seems to have special dispensation for them, but president clinton needed to be impeached for his sins? Al
