Why didn't the eastern Roman empire decline? It continued on vital till the Muslim conquest.

Christianity did away with killing slaves in coliseums for enteratainment, with exposing infants, etc. and fostered the first orphanages, hospitals, etc in the western world.

Todays secularists are working to take us back to the when human life wasn't valuable and infants and the elderly could be disposed of without qualms.
