The people I have met who love Palin may have gone to college, but they didn't learn much outside of a vocational path. My accountant likes her- but my accountant has read almost nothing, and doesn't seem to know where the majors countries on the globe are located, or anything about them. One can go to college and remain uneducated- Palin did. Plenty of other folks do. Perhaps there are people who have read widely, traveled a great deal, and know a lot about many disciplines, who still like Palin- I haven't met those people, nor have I seen them post on SI. From what I've seen her following tends to consist of people who might know their specialty incredibly well (be they lawyer or pilot, MD or accountant) but they know little else, and they don't appear to be curious people. They are people who know everything already.
