Melissa .... There are multiple ways to place orders with my broker..

You can phone a live body, you can key an order in on the phone and it gets processed shortly thereafter in the background by a live person, you can do a computer order with broker's software, and soon you will be able to do Internet orders. So, there are lots of choices.

However, a live person is best in my mind when market is moving - unless you just place order at market price. I can also place orders after hours and they are processed for market opening. All in all, it's a pretty good service, but they are sometimes too slow for my liking on the live orders. I have been burned on market price orders in the past so I tend to set a price - maybe I shouldn't hesitate to try that again. Do you tend to place order with a set price or use market order?
