we need to really blast the brokers who failed us.
If you were able to get any kind of good access to
make trades over the last 2 days please tell me where
your account is.

Fidelity Web Express was just about completely worthless for the
last 2 days. I had trouble getting thru on the phone.
Last night at 10-12 pm pacific time, was on hold with
rat-shit message forever, gave up after 20 minutes.

They and every other broker who failed to provide adequate
access to the markets in our time of deepest need deserve
to lose many accounts. I strongly urge you to complain
VERY loudly. I will do that & am also looking to move
my account. I always figured Fidelity was big enough
to have enough telecom & computer equipment. But they
totally sucked over the last 2 days. No way i want to
give them a second chance!!!

All,
< How about a fast exchange of some experiences on which Web brokers executed the best. >

Hi, sorry to be working an old topic, but it does seem like a good time to collect experiences on service during a crunch.

I use Ameritrade and Datek. Both locked me out during peak trading, but Datek came back much faster, and I was able to place a few trades. Ameritrade was good on executing trades (limits) which had been ordered the night before, but the server was inaccessible on Tuesday. Datek's server would at least allow access.

Of course, Tuesday saw 1.2 billion shares traded, more than double the heaviest previous volume.

Regards,

MS
