Ted, > Why were you interviewing her? My wife was doing a journalism assignment on the Cherry Blossom festival. Councilwoman Jan Perry was there dressed in a kimono doing a dance that she learned over the prior four weeks. It was cool to watch, especially since she's black. To me, her involvement in the community exceeds that of Senor Villaraigosa, who is obviously using his mayorship to further his own political career on a national level. Villaraigosa was around when I was in LA. Frankly, I didn't have a lot of respect for the Latino politicians. There is corruption throughout LA's govt but the Latino politicians seem to excel at it.
