An intellectual (from the adjective meaning "involving thought and reason") is a person who uses his or her intelligence and analytical thinking, either in a professional capacity, or for personal reasons.

Sorry but those who dismiss the experts I quoted are not only not intellectuals but LAZY thinkers. And then there are the hillbillies who cannot reason at all, cannot spell, and cannot write anything more than one liners and who even Twitter rejected for posting too few words.

That may not be entirely true ya know.<g> You are valuing highly your children's education so I know it means something to you.There are dumb people though with a degree and wizards without one it may depend on the person.
