Having the Mac Pros as your only desktop choice will send the lion share of these folks to Dell.

Only those looking for a cheap solution with a crap OS.

This discussion is old and tired. Apple isn't listening to you and has clearly stated they aren't going back to the broad confusing product line that didn't work in the 80's and 90's. Steve came back and streamlined in 97 and we've been raise market share since.

Sinclap -

Apple also sells iMacs and Mac Minis for the desktop.

It's true that their line is not as varied as Dell's. And it's never going to be. Dell only has to slap a few standard components together into a standard box. Apple actually designs computers.

People who want the Mac experience buy Macs. They're not going to go buy Dells just because there's no eight hundred dollar Mac tower.
