When do you think Apple will launch their new in-house developed ARM-based Macs?

They have a huge in house development team working on these new chips.

They can then dump Intel and be completely vertically integrated.

The iMac and mini are essentially laptops with mobile components that are not on par with desktops for less dough.

Has been reported recently that the build cost on the $599 mac mini is nearly $390 which is due to the higher cost of the mobile components. They may fill a need for some, but not for a lot of folks like me. My needs are a mid tower with a decent dual link GPU and room for 2 HD's.

aapl could build a high quality mid tower model using a standard dual core cpu such as this..

microcenter.com

and a decent low cost GPU such as this..

newegg.com

or

electronista.com

Plus a nice custom mid tower were all components are snapped in(no screws).

A version with a 2GB, 500GB and 9500 GPU with a build cost for under $500 could be sold for $899-$999.

I would purchase one along with the new 24 inch aapl screen with apple care.
