Some figures on who owns what:

Bezos owns about 9.9mm shares which he will soon be able to sell, but subject to a half million or so restrictions.

All directors and officers, collectively, own 15.7mm shares.

More significantly, Kleiner Perkins, the VC firm, owns 3.4mm. They are the ones (other than employees?) most likely to want to cash out. I think they would be subject to rule 144 restrictions though, so how fast they could sell is unclear.

Of the 20.9mm shares subject to lock-up agreements, 19.3mm will be eligible for sale next month. Of that, only 17.2mm are subject to volume and other restrictions of Rule 144.

So it looks to me like we have 2.1mm shares of immediate added float and 17.2mm more that can come out in a somewhat more controlled manner. Of the 19.3mm, only a little over half are Bezos' shares. Then there's the option plan shares that don't appear to be included in these numbers.
