Bush's tax cuts worked so well he left us with an economy, according to Bush, on the precipice of a Depression worse than the Great Depression. Bush left us with an S&P 500 down 40% over the 8 years he was in office. He left us with twice the debt we had when he took office.

If the goal was to destroy the American economy, yeah, Bush's tax cuts worked great.

Compare that to Bill Clinton who raised taxes at the beginning of his term. Clinton balanced the budget. The S&P 500 tripled during Clinton's term. Clinton presided over some of the best job and economic growth we've ever had.

Conservatives mindlessly argue that tax cuts are the solution to every problem: Economic expansion? Cut taxes. Economic contraction? Cut taxes. Surpluses? Cut taxes. Deficits? Cut taxes? War? Cut taxes. Peace? Cut taxes.

It's absurd, and one of the reasons conservatives are out of power. No one takes them seriously anymore, especially the extreme moronic versions we get around here...
