mindmeld, Apparently you read what ever you want to into any article or data. The amounts quoted are orders of magnitude higher than amounts in the atmosphere. As for the the incident in Africa, the people, livestock and wildlife all died from asphyxiation as C02 is heavier than air. It was a natural phenomena that occurs when lake waters invert.... .the city I live in did a complete and honest study on C02 emissions from "clean deisel" versus hybrid-electric mass transit buses. Guess which one polluted less AND cost less? thats right-the clean deisel bus won out hands down.
