Iraq wasn't a check on Iran. That's silly. Having a dictatorship next door only served to demoralize those within Iran who wanted to act. Now, with democracy starting to grow next door, the people of Iran decided to act. Of course, Obama totally blew it. But that's not THEIR fault.

There isn't zero percent chance of anything. He could have been over-thrown. Not sure it would have been a good thing for us, he was a secular influence in a region dominated by religious nuts.

He was NOT going to be overthrown. I'm not sure where you got that idea, but clearly you lack a basic understanding of the situation as it stood.
