And, no, of all I have seen of Hollywood for years, I would not consider it leftwing. --- And there we find agreement. Hollywood has long been a bastion for the military/industrial complex. The so-called left wing embraces war as much as the right. When we try to categorize people in generalities such as left wing/right wing then I believe we fall right into a trap. People should be related to based on their individual actions. therefore my contention that Obama is much the same as Bush, with too little difference to really make a difference. Hollywood has, IMO, come out with a few pretty good movies over the years, "The Deer Hunter". "Johnny Got His Gun", "Leaving Las Vegas" etc.; movies that attempt to take a real look at life and the consequences of our actions. Stanley Kubrik comes to mind when i think of a Hollywood producer or director with a mind capable of functioning beyond the thought of "where will my next dollar come from?"
