You think the "Turtle Tunnel" was a good idea? You really think, at this difficult time for our nation, we need more walking trails?

The small town where I spent my childhood has an airport -- not much more than a landing strip -- that averages about one or two takeoffs/landings a day. Cessna 150s, 180s, etc. I don't know if any jet has ever landed there.

They got $1,000,000 in stimulus for airport improvements. The town's industry died in the 90s. There is nothing there. And no reason for an airport at all, really.

RW, > Do you have any idea of the 100's of 1000's of municipal, county, state and federal projects going on at any given moment?

Yes I do. We have a few going on right here.

> Does Intel ever do any wasteful projects or is it only government that is human and imperfect?

The "airport to nowhere" is not a simple case of "whoops." It is an example of the "culture of corruption" that the Democrats ran against but hypocritically perpetuate. Murtha is unapologetic in his desire to feed at the trough and keep his old coal-town constituents happy, stationary, and voting for him.

It's attitudes like yours that allow this "culture of corruption" to continue unchecked on both parties. Comparing that to Intel is just plain stupid, but I expected nothing less from a yellow dog Democrat.
