he is only looking at social change vs economic changes.. i doubt he cares less about costs or increase taxes.. vs having everyone covered.

we need leadership in congress not social engineering.

Yep, things are pretty well aligned for him to do it now, if he can't with 60 in the Senate then this thing will probably return to the 'back burner' for who knows how long. It's really too bad the bankster-gangster crisis hit last year, if we didn't need to spend trillions bailing out the fatcats this would have been a much easier slog in terms of finances IMO...
