The entire argument is silly. Chris Matthews was outraged. But did he honestly think we wouldn't try to kill AQ leaders if we had the chance?

Chris Matthews was outraged because Cheney/the Bush admin illegally told the CIA not to inform congress of the activity. Not because of plans to kill al Qaeda leaders.
