I agree, I am saying something else. The southeast rainforest is not like th eamazon jungle or the Sierra. When you cut them down they take forever to return.

Personally, I do not think any trees should be cut down in the Sierra or the Redwoods.

I am just saying we are not losing forest up here because it regenerates so fast. If they are going to cut trees, our forests are the most durable of any of them.

In seen pictures whereby in 50 years land that was so devastated and washed clean by hydrolic hoses looking for gold had returned to a state of beauty so porfound a salmon bake was built there.

As long as you do not poisen the land, Southeast Alaska is tough and will never be tamed. Thank god.
