"My complaint was your unwarranted and falsely founded lynch-mob style attack on our glorious, venerable, estimable and honorable hero Sir Alan."

That's a good one Maurice. I'm sure your tongue was firmly planted in your cheek when you wrote that. But I absolutely agree that he wasn't alone, and have stated so, and the rest of the mob, from President down including Goldman Sachs are all part of the same scheme. The much revered Sir Alan has at least mumbled some remorse and admitted his errors, for which I give him credit. The rest of the rotten gang are busy now, trying to figure out who they can screw inorder to revive the good times again. Goldman has apparently found the golden goose so to speak, and is now firmly attached to the US treasury like a bloated leach, fatter now than ever before.

You're right, one shouldn't pick on just Sir Alan, but he was convenient, convicted by his own mouth. That he ought not to hang alone, I can agree with, but someone should hang, soon.

A lot of what you say rings true, however it does not warrant a free pass for Greenspan, he still had a responsibility to the system he governed....he lacked the necessary vision to forsee the credit debacle he helped put in place, he lacked the fortitude to go against those abusing his "well intentioned" charity....he was too passive for the role he played.

the french revolution was very cleansing
and best to have been observed from london, allowing reflection, rather than paris necessitating zigging and zagging
