IOW in the greater scheme of things, people are out for themselves and their families. Contrary to the popular rhetoric spewed by the left, most people don't give the well being of their fellow men a second thought. I admit I'm a cynic.........and would hope I am wrong about that? You're not wrong when it comes to the people doing the spewing....If the democrats really wanted to help the less fortunate, they would encourage self-reliance and assist people to do for themselves. Instead, they work for a permanent, dependent underclass because it is a way to perpetuate their own power and wealth.
