Well, a city department of walking isn't as bad as if we had a federal department of walking. Dear Lord, why do I think we will soon? There's probably something in the House energy bill on this.

But its still a dumb idea - government doing something it doesn't need to do and wasting tax money.

Let it be recorded Steve is a second liberal voice speaking up for departments of walking. Can we get a third?

Abstinence is not ignorance. It works every single time it's tried.

The only ones who think abstinence leads to STDs and pregnancies are the usual suspects from Planned Parenthood. The Guardian UK also makes the same false association, which is typical of shoddy journalism.
