>I think Obama is making a big mistake by rushing. By doing so, he's pitting default ideologies against each other.

This is the time... if he waits much longer, we run into the 2010 election season, when nothing can get done.

>That's not going to help, especially when there is a political need to get bipartisan support.

Why is there a political need for it? He's got 60 Dems in the Senate. All he has to do is convince all of them to vote for cloture if the Republicans filibuster the bill.

I think Obama is making a big mistake by rushing.

I disagree. The longer he lets the Rs trash national health care the less chance he has of getting it through. For 50 years, the Rs have fought national health care.......and its time their nonsense stops. Obama is the first president to get it this close to the goal post.

He knows very well what the game is...the politicos have been playing for the 70 years that this topic has tried to be addressed.

That's not going to help, especially when there is a political need to get bipartisan support.

There is not going to be bipartisan support...the GOP has made very clear...
