I will say that the Officer in charge at the scene when Gates pulled his "rant and rave," knew that Gates was who he said he was, and that he was in his own house. The officer should have sucked it up and walked away, leaving Gates his little victory. Lack of maturity on his part.

I will bet his superior told him so later.
