He's not offering any real leadership on healthcare other than cheerleading from the sidelines.

This is a question that the press should have asked Obama. Who knows if somebody had asked this question and it got screened out.

I am expecting Obama to hit the road to sell his package. Let us see if he can articulate the salient features of the plan. Right now it is all rhetoric from all sides.

What did the Republican's do about health care the last 40 years? Nothing except make us pay mopre by not allowing us to buy Canadain drugs.

Why are they not helping now? Because they do not want a good health care system, they just want riches for the large medical corporations and docs who contribute greatly to their campaigns. And so they lie about helath care systems like Canada's.

You understand, I hope, that the whole reason the Republicans are trying to slow down the process is because they want to kill it. The right wing is helping the rich medical community rip off the American people using the same fear tactics they used in 93. And the rich and Republicans won then.

The reason I can see how much better the liberals/dems are doing than the conservative/ Republicans, is because, of fate I guess. I thrown into the same situation the congress is in right now, three times in my life, planning and implementing three major statwide health programs from scratch. Only I did each one pretty much alone. Actually easier that way.

I wrote, and as state director, implemented, our states first comprehensive emergency medical services program, our states first comprehensive alcoholism and drug abuse program (and many community social programs) and ended my career organizing the Health and Social Services plan for the governors office for the Valdez oil spill.

I know how to do this stuff and what one is up against including the politics. And the Republican's should be doing the best they can for the American people and not just be obstructionist trying to win the next election and keep windfall profits for the medical community.
