I understand the sentiment on this issue. But semantics does not help us to move forward. There is certainly a sub-conscious part in people, like the one exhibited by Crowley.

Old beliefs and perceptions are held in the sub-conscious while the conscious part tells a person otherwise. It is Crowley's conscious part of the mind that fights the sub-conscious part of his mind. When the conscious prevails, he is able to espouse theories and actions that makes other label him as an expert or progressive on such issues. But occasionally, the sub conscious takes over wherein his personality revolts and he asks "how dare a black man talk in such a manner to a white man?"

even the communists who preach a classless society have been on record as indulging in racial discrimination such as during the building of the Aswan dam in Egypt etc.

I hope the Democrats in the House do not steam roll the Blue Dogs. I suppose Henry Waxman tried to play the role of "the Hammer" like like the Republicans did when they were in the majority. Obama needs to counsel Waxman and tell him to slow down. After all if Obama harbors notions og bringing in some Republicans into the fold, he has to start with the Blue Dogs first.
