End of life discussions are hard. If they make them mandatory, they will become impossible. It's hard enough when you do it as a friend of the patient and family -- to talk about those things while under the government's gun would destroy confidence and credibility. And it should.

Those idiots seriously think that they can control absolutely everything.

Paying for your own care will not be an option -- that's nuts. Would be a big bonanza for medical tourism - just fly out to some capitalist country, and get taken care of.

kill the seniors -- that's what my wife has been saying for some time now - that the next "big leap forward" in healthcare savings will be to start killing old people.
