TOS was a broker that Atrade acquired in June IIRC but this broker additionally had a very well received platform also called TOS.

The Atrade version of TOS and QT are both web based trading platforms which, at the most basic levels, offer the ability to buy and sell equities ... past that the products have quite different capabilities.

So in the sense that both are trading platforms, any comparison is indeed apples to apples.

I will leave any capability discussion to others but did make my views on data integrity known in my post to the original questioner.

you said:"TOS is an online broker, and QT is a charting application"

Tis NOT apples/oranges

I use QT, making Atrade trades from within QT

Now that Atrade has bot TOS, one can do the same thing, make Atrade trades from within TOS. AND TOS supplies info from a lotta sources, (news faster breaking than anywhere else).

SO, from what I have read, TOS may very well be better than QT.

BTW, TOS WAS a former broker, not any more

BUT I could be wrong, thas why I posted asking qwhat everyone else knows and if they could verify what I have learned
