Where are the liberals to bash and fume Obama about 40 soldiers dead in Afghanistan this month?

I am very unhappy about Afghanistan and have said so at least three times in the last month. Where the hell have you been? You don't miss anything else I say.

"Can you imagine if Bush had ramped up the war in Afghanistan what the liberals on this thread would be saying? Tejek would be posting endless articles bashing Bush."

You don't have to imagine it. He's now agreeing on the Iraq model. Although he did abandon this strand of discussion under scrutiny.

"That's just it......I don't think those areas will stabilize for a long time. I think we have to do like we did in Iraq. train them up and then get out and hope they can't keep things stabile."

Did you mean, to say:

"train them and then get out and hope they can keep things stabile.

Would you attach any positive expectation wrt foreign relations going forward?"

Dunno about the liberals. But it should have happened a long time ago. Afghanistan was sidelined so we could focus on Iraq. As a result, we almost lost all we had accomplished there. Given that the situation in Afghanistan is contributing to the instability in Pakistan, that means real trouble. You want to hand moderately sophisticated nukes to terrorists? Just let Pakistan fall apart.
