Have any US hospitals ever been full to capacity and can not take new patients?.... if so ""...a cardiologist and his patient discussing someone else having to vacate a hospital bed before the patient can have one.."" is probable a routine occurance for any hospital, anywhere. <<But if they create a public option where I can have reasonable coverage for $200/month, you can bet I'm going to be first in line to get my taxpayer subsidy. . I'm going to become a taker just like everyone else. >> I hear ya .. How much do you think you have poured in to Aetna, Cigna and the rest of the no heart blood suckers over the years supporting those for profit, denial, cut throats at the top.. as posted in my last post? it must be hundreds of thousands. <<Not because it is the right thing to do for the country, but because I'm getting tired of doing the right thing only to see half the country living off the other half's hard work>> There are people everywhere looking for someone else to pay so they can ride for free.It is what it is.This is mostly taken out of the picture with the Canadian system, there is no choice. If you are paying taxes in Canada you are paying a proportional share towards health care. In the province of Ontario you are also paying up to $900 per year towards health care, decided when you file your tax return..no choice. If Canada was to offer a choice.. the choice would be <<<i'll ride for free>>like many in US right now. My house taxes includes an amount going to pay for our new hospital and i pay it gladly and will until it is paid off . I regard Canadian health care system as part of the infrastructure that we pay for thru the tax system and donation and far from perfect and far from commie pinko and socialism ..sniff<gg> Next time in Canada wonder thru some of our hospitals and have a look, you might be surprised.
