<< I couldn't log on to e-trade yesterday for the first five hours of trading. >>

Felicia - It was the same story with National Discount Brokers yesterday. The experience also convinced me to open up an account with another firm who will actually be available when you really need them.

I watched one stock I had been following start the day at 8 and rise to 12. All I could do was watch it. I was locked out of trading on NDB's websight and waited on hold for one hour before slamming the phone down in disgust. NDB sucks.

>>You are being way too polite. I couldn't log on to e-trade yesterday for the first five hours of trading. I have to tell you that it convinced me to have open accounts with other brokerage firms for emergencies. I was LIVID.<<

Felicia........hi. Will E-trade or any of the electonic brokers do a "Give-up" trade. This is a very effective strategy when trading commodities during crisis conditions . Would be interested to know if it's possible to execute with stock brokers??....and specifically the "E-Brokers"
