Here are some TYP comments on it. >>>after 3 years with TYP coaching, I am at a point where I wish to synthesis a mental model to suit my chemical engineering nut .......and orientate my thinking more around the liver as the primary organ, eg a. see and value the liver as a chemical factory, and see arteries as pipes to the boiler ( ie heart) and heart. Plaque is coatings on the pipes , the bane of boiler maintenence managers b. now, by respecting the liver, I now find I have gained a strength needed to improve selecting the foodstuffs ingested, including supplements (as feedstocks in a chemical engineering sense) and..... defruc myself! ..........It was/still is hard to defruc ... a little less so after I saw his lucid , uncompromising lecture.. I now choose fruit conciously, eg a whole mandarin instead of orange juice, kiwi fruit etc. and that piece of cake at morning tea can be seen as temptation, not as a necessity. c. to get a faster feeling for any ad hoc improvements, I am measuring, saliva pH, blood pressure, pulse rate, BG, weight and caliper measurments and add others as suggested...... Dr. Davis >>>Lustig does a spectacular job of summarizing the thinking around fructose. His insights into the fructose content of fruit was interesting, i.e., the modifying effects of fiber on fructose absorption and metabolism. This video is definitely a must-see. In fact, it is so informative that I will post a link in the Member Update string. Great find. Thanks, JSH. Tell us more about your ad hoc experience. Dr Davis >>>Dr. Lustig is the real deal: He is the primary source of much of the data on fructose metabolism. He minces no words during this cut-to-the-bone dissection of the metabolic consequences of fructose ingestion.
