Volker is with Obama:

..and knows there's a time to open the tap, and a time to close it. He supports what Obama is doing.

"Funny how Obama's fiscal policies don't reflect Volcker at all."

Different circumstances require different approaches. Fighting inflation in a deflationary scenario invites disaster.

"Just a bunch of wishful thinking that we can control inflation once it rears its ugly head."

The techniques to bring inflation under control are well known. And again, it depends on the scenario as to which ones are best. We were well on the road to high inflation when the economy cratered. While effective, it isn't really a preferred method.

CJ, > It was Volcker's policies

Funny how Obama's fiscal policies don't reflect Volcker at all. Just a bunch of wishful thinking that we can control inflation once it rears its ugly head.

Obama averted a depression. Do you think tamping down inflation will be any harder. The short answer is no.
