I usually eat a small tub of Activia yogurt each morning. I mix in a heaping teaspoon of ground flax seed with it. I buy the flax seed already ground at my vitamin store and keep it in the freezer. Flax seed has a lot of value from all I have read. Good for cholesterol and certainly high in fiber.

The speaker didn't say to what extent fiber mitigates fructose or what form the fiber might take. Presumably fruits come with both fructose and fiber, which would make an apple preferable to a Coke, which has no fiber.

my understanding of what he was saying was that it had to do with the concentration of the amounts of fructose you get in say, fruit juices compared to eating the fruit itself...iow, you would probably need to eat 10 apples to get the same amount of fructose in a glass of apple juice....so by getting it in it's natural form you would by definition moderating your consumption
