I respect your viewpoint. It is not mine. The bailouts, though unpopular, helped avoid a catastrophe. Spending for clunkers and other items is basically helping to keep the economy going in the absence or tightness of private credit and slow consumer spending. As for health care: don't yet know what version emerges. For one thing, you can't forever have the 35 million uninsured clogging up emergency rooms for free care and the rest of us footing the bill in the form of ever higher premiums.
