Do you take that for granted of do you say "Boy those government guys are good" a dozen times a day? You do know that the best water systems are contracted out, didn't you?Take for granted the safety of the food you eat, the drugs you take, your police department, your fire department, your kids education, stop lights stop signs speed limits and clean safe roads, zoning, street lighting, the internet, nuke energy plants, highways, safe cars, safe toys, airports, ait traffic controllers The safety of the food is that way because the companies know that they will make more if I am alive than dead. Do you remember how much trouble the government had tracking down the bad peppers and peanuts last year? The police department is crooked, I know! The Fire department cant seem to find a building till its burned down, but that was just one incedent, most of the time its good. Education in GA sucks, but good in my county. Road standards are horrible here, too many non fraingible stuff near the road, they were agressive about that in Miami, not here. But in Miami the building contractors paid off the inspectors. The FAA has antiquated equipment and doesn't care about small planes, the small planes are less safe than a motor cycle. They don't want to put the equipment in the planes that will prevent many accidents because than means less controllers and a smaller empire. Looks like they are going to abolish any flights of model airplanes above 400 feet. On and on and on. I would say government control of most things is pretty fukked up.
