essentially when you eat sugar in today's world it is either sucrose or fructose so avoiding sugar is a good motto.

But I think the lactose in milk is probably OK. And that could get listed on an ingredient label as sugar-I'm not sure.

Small amounts of most anything probably are benign.

Most hard core alcoholics I came across died from cirrhosis, severe pancreatitis, seizures or cardiomyopathy long before they had a chance to develop coronary disease. And they never had pretty deaths that's for sure.
