Bruce, I feel your pain. I am also way long on this stock. The thing we have over the shorts is time. If the market stabilizes here, the shorts will start running for the exits next week, IMO. There can be no logical reason to stay short on this one. THe earnings came out, and the longs win. The shorts got a reprieve from the market, and if they had ANY sense, they would have already covered. We all know this stock can run at any minute. It's like the Lions when they give the ball to Barry Sanders-at any moment he touches the ball he can take it the distance. Attention all shorts-you are playing with fire, so I hope you are having fun while it lasts. Eventually you will get burned. Let's see if you are still short by the end of next week. Govern yourselves accordingly.(I always wanted to sound like an attorney:-)

Steve

TideGlider, Re:"Cymer may have to buy back at market just to get some notice."

You aren't suggesting that Cymer buy back its stock are you? If you are,you should take another look at Cymer's balance sheet. Though Cymer is profitable, they are consuming cash like crazy. They earned $7M last quarter, but sunk more than twice than in capital to build capacity. Their recievables are huge. Cymer needs every penny they have just to survive.
