Hemisphere: Malaria, river disease blindness, hemorrhagic fevers, Ebola, tse tse fly, Dengue fever, Chagas fever, yellow fever, elephantiasis, snail fever, etc., etc., are all tropical diseases unknown in cooler climates. These can ne wipped out the map as man's progress deal with the nature. In the Borth Hemisphere there is a lack of life that is very good for the northern folks. The tropical belt need do artifically what winter does naturally. I never found a Canadian saying Yellowknife is worth of by not having camels. Neither Arabas miss polar bears in the empty quarter near Yemen border.
